What is Dengue?
- Dengue fever also known as break-bone fever is an infectious tropical disease caused by dengue virus.
- An arthropod-borne viral disease carried Aedes aegypti as the vector, caused by 4 possible viral serotypes, namely, serotype I, II, III, and I V of the Flaviviridae family.
- With rapid urbanization and global travel leading to drastic changes, dengue is a treat to almost 40% of the world’s population i.e. over 2.5 billion people.
Papaya leaves are very effective in the treatment of dengue fever
During Dengue fever the platelet levels fall down to very dangerous levels. This remedy will help maintain/increase platelet levels in the body. Giving I V drip from 4th day to 6th day will also help. Recently, crude formulations of papaya leaf have been successfully employed in folk medicine in Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, India, and Pakistan for the treatment of dengue infections with hemorrhagic manifestations.
How to prepare Papaya leaf Juice
Take one tender papaya leaf. Cut the green leaf in small pieces. Grind it with little water. Squeeze the juice after grinding and take twice a day on empty stomach.
